I really want to be very frank with the readers and with Mr Karan Bajaj, a Management Graduate from IIM Bangalore, that writing is not all about compiling some fun filled experiences and getting them printed somehow…

I totally believe it when I say so that Karan Bajaj the author of the book is not meant to be a writer and I wonder how he managed to get his work published. Maybe this particular expertise comes from the marketing guru’s he might have studied under while doing his masters at the business school. My heart goes out those writers who never get their voice heard by these A class publishers who literally judge you by how you look rather that what you write.

Yes the book does entertain you to an extent but fails to really establish itself as Geentanjali. Not that I expect Mr Bajaj to be at par with Shri Rabindranathji but then the writers writing in English must be know this fact that they are representing hindustaani philosophy with the rest of the world. As my eyes gazed through every nook and corner of the book I felt like ripping it apart into thousand pieces. All through the book I felt as kid was out loose to earn a quick buck.
As if the author was just writing to finish the book and wanted just see himself in print. Tapasya(Meditatioanal activity) is what writing is all about.

The story and the plot are not worth talking about in detail but one must say that Mr. Bajaj does have an ok sort-of-a-command over the language and seems to understand how to merge Hindustani dialect while writing. Something which I felt was nicely done.

Although this is Karan’s first book and one must encourage him in any way one can, but as Kabir says “Nindak apan dwar rakhiye” I won’t encourage Mr Bajaj. He really needs a good mentor and somebody who could give him some constructive criticism on how to choose your subject of writing.

I would rate this book with one star. And the reason I’m not giving Mr. Karan Bajaj minus five stars is because this is his first book.

I would end my review by only saying “Congratulations on your first book…Mr Bajaj!!!”
